Catherine Ni Chun Hong

Educational Therapist

Catherine Ni Chunhong has been with DAS since 2019. She provides Chinese language intervention to primary and secondary school bilingual learners with dyslexia and other special learning needs. Besides her direct intervention work with students, she also invests considerable time in curriculum development, research, and training and supervising new educational therapists. Catherine graduated from James Cook University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology (honours) before joining the DAS. Catherine has a specialist diploma in educational therapy (Chinese support) and a diploma in Childhood Learning Disorder and Management. Catherine is currently pursuing her Master of Education (Special Education) at the National Institute of Education in the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Before she joined DAS, she worked as an Orthopedic surgeon, a teaching assistant in a special-needs school, and a research assistant at the James Cook University. Catherine has joined RETA since January 2021 she is currently an associate fellow.
