About the course
This course aims to enrich participants’ knowledge and practice of intervention planning based on the Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (APIE) model, a framework which ensures that the interests of the child and all other stakeholders are factored into the process of intervention planning. Designed to help participants grow in their understanding of how to prepare Individual Education Plans (IEP) for one-to-one intervention with learners of specific learning differences, it takes a problem-based approach and will introduce practical strategies and tools to answer key questions that must be addressed at each stage of the IEP planning process.
A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to participants who attain at least 75% attendance and successfully pass the assessment.
The target audience may be teachers who need to craft specific strategies for supporting learners in any area of behaviour or learning, in order to support struggling learners in the classroom, parents who want to support their children at home, or other professionals and specialists who support students with learning differences.
